I recently spent four weeks in Ecuador. I attended language school for two weeks, in Quito, where I lived with a local family who did not speak English. The other two weeks were spent travelling around, including three days and nights on the Galapagos Islands.

It was a wonderful holiday, most notably for the cultural experience. My Spanish remains terrible, but at least I am now aware of this fact!
